Team Required Block Commitment
The Flowing Wells Holiday Shootout has a 2-year block commitment requirement from each participating team. For more information on this aspect of the tournament please contact Mark Brunenkant Athletic Director at Flowing Wells High School.
Schedule
The Flowing Wells Holiday Shootout will take place normally two to three days after Christmas and will run for 2 days. Tournament dates will change each calendar year and can be found within this website.
The 2023 tournament will take place between Thursday, December 28th, 2023 and Friday, December 29th, 2023.

Participation Fee
- Cost per team is $450 and checks can be made payable to: F.W. Holiday Shootout
- A non-refundalbe deposit of $150 is due by November 11th of each calendar year for that year's tournament to hold your teams spot.
Games
Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of 4 games within the tournament. Game times will be decided upon during official tournament scheduling but will normally occur each day at the following: 9am, 10:30am, 12noon, 1:30pm, 3pm, 4:30pm, 6pm, and 7:30pm
All-Tournament Teams, Awards, and Ceremony
15 players from the tournament are selected from recommendations and endorsements from each Head Coach and will make up the Holiday Shoot Out All-Tournament team. The All-Tournament team will be announced in the West Gym during the final ceremony immediately after the championship game and just before the awarding of team trophies. Trophies are given to teams that place 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively within the tournament.
Game Rules and Officials
Games are conducted under standard Arizona Interscholastic Association, Inc. (AIA) rules. All officials are provided through the AIA. For more details please visit there site at: CLICK HERE

Equipment (water and basketballs)
Equipment (basketball's) for warm-up practice before each game will be provided. Water will also be provided and ready for each team before their game and positioned near their bench. Individual team practice time is not normally hosted by the tournament, but could be upon special request for out of town teams. Certified Athletic Trainer (medical)
One certified athletic trainer will be provided and on site during the tournament. The trainer will be required to move back and forth between gyms so each team should be aware and ready to provide their own immediate medical care for their players.
Ice machines, wraps and bags are all provided within the Main Gym for any player requiring them. If more in depth medical equipment is required or needed please find the athletic trainer on duty for that specific tournament day.

Transportation and Parking
Transportation to and from Flowing Wells High School is the responsibility of the participating school. Parking is free and both cars, vans, and busses can be parked anywhere within the Flowing Wells gated school parking area.
Families and Fans
Teams are encouraged to invite as much support as possible for their team. Please inform your players and their families and fans that the cost to enter either gym is $10.00 per day for adults, $5.00 for students, and $2.00 for children under 5. This cost will cover the entire day and both gym's. Fans and families will have the ability to move to and from each gym as well as leave for food as needed and re-enter with no additional cost. There will be a concession stand in the Main Gym.
